STEVE
BYERS - CEO
A+,MCP+I, MCT,MCSE,CTT - Steve Byers is the originator of Sennex, Inc and Computer
Solutions Today. He is an international entrepreneur who, after
discovering a growing need for pleasant, easy-to-understand computer
instructors, decided to focus his energy on helping people learn how to
use computers in an enjoyable and non-threatening environment. Steve has progressed in parallel with Microsoft
since 1987, when he got Windows version 1.0a on his first computer at Virginia Tech. As Microsoft continues to grow,
Steve stays active in the
Microsoft Certified Professional Programs. Through the
years, Steve has supported various
individuals and businesses; mostly professionals who appreciate a down-to-earth approach
to computers. His desire is to help individuals overcome the apprehension of
facing computers
by avoiding confusing technical jargon. Steve directed an 18 month project for the
delivery of Windows NT courses to CIA's network support
personnel prior to the roll-out of their standard operating environment. Much of
this environment was customized in house by the CIA development team. Many of
Windows 2000's features were first pioneered through these development efforts.
ALAN CRAWFORD -
Office Data Solutions Consultant
Alan is a pilot for US
Airways with a strong background in software development, financial
and business. Alan's specialty is business data solutions.
These include system integrations, database development & instruction
in Access, SQL, Visual Basic, FoxPro, and FOCUS, and web solutions
incorporating data stores. Alan also applies his financial and
business background in classes on using financial software, from Managing
Your Money to Quicken to Microsoft Money. Alan gains his
instructional background from the military where he served as a flying
& ground school instructor for the Air Force. He holds a B.S. in
Computer Technology from the United States Air Force Academy and M.S. in
Operations Management form the University of Arkansas. Alan is a
person with a great deal of energy and genuine interest in all that he
does.
LANCE
ECK - MOUS and A+ Certification Trainer
When Lance started working with personal computers in
1977 they were called “microcomputers.” Since then, he has created
specialized hardware for the military, written and implemented neural
networks, designed computer networks, and successfully trained hundreds of
people to use their computers more effectively. Lance has a broad
background including customer service, telecommunications, banking, Web
design, and natural language analysis. He has achieved A+ and MOUS
Certification at the Expert level. As part of the Sennex team, he
coordinates and delivers the exceptional training our clients expect by
combining his natural enthusiasm and showmanship with his deep knowledge
of software and hardware
MARCEL SCHMELZER
- Technical Services Contributor
Marcel
has been actively involved with computers since 1982, when The first
concepts of PC were being introduced. Marcel now works full time for
UPMC Health systems. Marcel landed this job after completing a successful
consulting assignment through Computer Solutions Today in 1998. Marcel
started with the desktop integration group and is currently the project lead
for UPMC SMS systems and server integrations. Marcel is considered a
valuable part of the Computer Solutions Today team in that he provides great
insight and support to our company in the web service arena.
DAVID
DEUERLING - Systems Consultant
David
is a recent graduate of Pittsburgh Technical Institute with an associates
degree in Computer Systems. He is also a Microsoft Certified Systems
Engineer (MCSE), and he is a certified TCP/IP Administrator. Along with
computer specialties, David has 5 years of customer service experience,
which he developed from managing a restaurant. David has a desire and
ability to learn new skills quickly. He is excellent in applying these
skills to benefit our customers. He has done many networking jobs for law
firms, businesses, and churches. He also has experience in serving
customers at their homes. Although David is one of the newer Sennex
employees, he looks forward to being an integral part of the company’s
growth and expansion.
ROGER BLACK - Roger is a
recent graduate with an MS in Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh. Roger has over 4
years experience in the information technology industry, and has worked for United Parcel Service, in their Customer
Service division, for the last 2 years. Roger's Specialty is in the primary education
computer support arena. Roger supported The Mt.
Lebanon School District during the deployment of their internet technologies.
Roger is currently employed on-site at University of Pittsburgh.
LISA
BUEHLER - Project Director and Lead
Trainer
Lisa is a graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh,
where she studied Visual Communications. She is
currently the National Project Manager for a
computer training course sponsored by the National Council on Aging.
This innovative project is designed to help our country's mature population
to re-enter the workforce. The program was launched in Pittsburgh
in 1999 and is now nationwide.
ALBERT
MYERS - Project Trainer
Meet Al Myers,
Al is one of our newest Trainers. He came to us very knowledgeable
about the computer industry. He is self taught in many disciplines
in science one of his greatest attributes is the ability to deliver his
experience & skills in computing to various age, race and gender
groups of people and he likes what he does. Al is a member of a
community church in Philadelphia where he hones his skills by training
people in the congregation & within the community for free. Most of
the people that he has trained has been successfully been place in
employment. Al Myers was recruited by Sennex during the summer of Year
2000 to train senior citizens around the Philadelphia metro area.
BRYCE
CADY - Curriculum Development Director and Lead
Trainer
Bryce has a strong educational background,
and is a remarkably effective instructor. He was recruited by Sennex from
the Walt Disney
World Resort Training and Development Department, where he was
involved in training employees for all programs of the world-famous
resort, as well as clients of Disney's
Center of Excellence. He now specializes in the retooling of mature
workers and integration of disadvantaged populations, and has an
outstanding placement ratio of successful participants in his programs. He
looks forward to expanding Sennex's educational efforts to reach new
populations, both demographically and geographically.
WILLIAM
MOLENDYK - I.T. Trainer
William
specializes in training basic computer skills and Point-of-Sale systems to
participants in a national demonstration grant. He graduated with high
honors from the Metropolitan Technical Institute of New Jersey, and has an
A+ Certification from CompTIA. William's region provides targeted training
for the grocery industry and follows up with placement for successful
training graduates.
NOELLE CONOVER
- Noelle is a Carnegie Mellon University
graduate with a Masters of Science in Information Science degree from University of Pittsburgh. Noelle has over 15
years of experience in the information technology industry where she has held positions in
marketing, systems engineering, technical writing, and training. Whether training new users
to use a standard software package or writing a manual to train users on a software
product, the skills she uses are the same. She is able to effectively and efficiently
communicate technical information to users in a thorough, yet easy-to-understand
manner. Her skills include the use of all standard office software packages including
Microsoft Office Suite, Lotus products, Framemaker, Interleaf Publisher, Visio,
Netscape and Exchange. She is also familiar with the ISD design methodology for developing
course curriculum. Her publications include research articles, white papers, user manuals,
newsletters, sales proposals, abstracts and design documents.
